Commander of Sri Lanka Navy Welcomes Pakistan Navy Delegation
A 4-member Pakistan Navy delegation headed by Commodore Training Ashore, Commodore Maboob Elahi paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage at the Naval Headquarters on 19th February 2013.
They held cordial discussions and exchanged mementos as a gesture of goodwill. Pakistan Defence Advisor, Colonel Sheharyar Parvez Butt was also present on the occasion.
The delegates that included DNI Karachchi, Captain Akmal Kayani, SO (T), Lieutenant Commander M Arslan and Lieutenant Commander Fahad A Malik (Plans Division) had discussions with SLN counterparts presided over by Director General Operation, Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera at the Lighthouse Galley. They focused on exploring areas for enhancing cooperation between the two Navies.
The delegation is also scheduled to visit the Eastern and Southern Naval Commands for interactions and sharing of operational experiences.
