Sri Lanka Naval Troops Arrest 7 Persons Engaged in Illegal Fishing
Naval troops attached to SLNS Vijaya and Naval Deployment Alankuda of the North-western Naval Command on information received arrested 07 persons engaged in illegal fishing along with a haul of illegal fishing nets on 25th March 2013 in Mandalkuda, Palliwasalthurai and Alankuda areas. They were handed over to respective authorities of Fisheries Department in Puttalam for legal action along with the following items in their possession:
