SLN Headquarters Welcomes Pakistani National Defence University Officers
A 19-member team from the National Defence University in Pakistan led by Commodore Asif Saleem Chaudhry visited the Naval Headquarters in Colombo on 09th April 2013.
The Head of the Delegation paid a courtesy call on Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage. They held cordial discussions and exchanged mementos to mark the occasion.
The NDU officers attended an interactive session, presided over by the Commander of the Navy, where he briefed the present on the SLN role and its operations drawing attention to the SLN’s successes in asymmetric warfare.
The Pakistan NDU team, comprising senior officers of the Armed Forces and Civil Services of Pakistan and military officers from China, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America, is on a study tour in Sri Lanka with a view of gaining an overview of defence, economic, domestic and foreign policies of Sri Lanka.
