Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)  announced it was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic to provide electronics and communications services and solutions in support of mission capabilities within the Decision Superiority (DS) Portfolio.

The multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of approximately $900 million for all awardees, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., and locations worldwide, including the Middle East.

SSC Atlantic’s DS Portfolio is dedicated to engineering and the development of command and control systems, and application development for command; control, and decision support systems enabling utilization of information; and decision aids.

Under the contract, SAIC will provide full-system, life-cycle support, including research, development, test and evaluation, as well as the production and fielding of sustainable, secure, survivable and interoperable command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (C5ISR), information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities. SAIC is one of 15 awardees that will compete for task order under the contract.

“SAIC has a deep breadth of knowledge and is considered one of the top industry experts for life-cycle support on a variety of platforms,” said Tom Watson, SAIC customer group senior vice president. “The work we perform supporting the full life-cycle of C5ISR ultimately helps keep SSC Atlantic on the cutting-edge and strengthens the defense of our nation.”
