Sri Lanka: South Eastern Naval Command Conducts Blood Donation Campaign

The Medical Staff of the South Eastern Naval Command conducted a blood donation campaign fulfilling the requirements of the blood bank at the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital on 17th August 2013.

It was held under the guidance of Commander South Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral DEC Jayakody. Over eighty seven (87) naval personnel voluntarily donated their blood to save the lives of patients receiving treatment at the base hospital.
