US to Attack Syria on Thursday?

The US could attack Syria with three days of missile strikes, beginning on Thursday, reported NBC News.

The US Navy is preparing for the airstrikes which will most probably be conducted from navy destroyers or submarines, recently moved closer to Syria, in the Mediterranean Sea.

The attack, which is gaining growing international support, will be used to send a message to the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad amid horrific deaths of civilians caused by utilization of chemical weapons.

“Chemical weapons have been used”, stated Vice President Joe Biden in Houston, adding that international norms of global security have clearly been violated.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said on Tuesday that options that they are considering are not about the regime change, they are responding to clear violation of an international standard that prohibits the use of chemical weapons.

Four warships, loaded with 90 missiles each, are currently in the Mediterranean Sea and still waiting for Obama’s signal to launch missiles.
