USA: SAIC Seals SSC Atlantic Contract

SAIC Seals SSC Atlantic Contract

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC Atlantic) to provide transport, computing and infrastructure support services related to command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR).

The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a one-year period of performance, four one-year options, and a total contract ceiling value of approximately $890 million available to all awardees, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C. and locations worldwide. SAIC is one of 14 awardees that will compete for task orders under the contract.

SSC Atlantic serves naval, joint and national warfighters’ unified efforts to best cope with the dangers of the 21st century and beyond. It designs, acquires, engineers, and sustains systems, sensor connections, cyber network infrastructures and knowledge management services to ensure reliable information is available to only those who need it, where and when it is needed. The contract will require transport, computing and infrastructure services to research, develop, test, evaluate, produce and field tools for C5ISR, information operations, enterprise information services and space capabilities.

“The scope of this contract covers the entire spectrum of services and solutions associated with the full system life-cycle support for SSC Atlantic’s networking and computing mission,” said Tom Watson, SAIC Navy and Marine Corps Customer Group senior vice president. “We look forward to continuing to provide C5ISR and IT capabilities to our customer.”
