Sri Lanka Navy Arrests Two for Illegal Fishing
Sri Lanka Naval troops attached to SLNS Lankapatuna of the Eastern Naval Command arrested two persons with 772 kilograms of illegal fish catch.
They were arrested along with a FGD engaged in illegal fishing using explosives in the general area of Uppural in the Trincomalee District on 14th August 2014.
The arrested persons with illegal fish catch were handed over to the Assistant Director of the Fisheries Department in Trincomalee for further investigations.
