Servowatch Systems Launches New Products at SMM

Servowatch Systems’ exhibition stand at SMM, in Hamburg, this September, will be used as a platform from which the global specialist in marine automation and systems integration will launch a suite of new alarm, control and monitoring solutions into the merchant marine market.

Under its Servowatch brand, the UK-based company, a business unit of the Electrical and Automation division of India’s engineering giant Larsen & Toubro, has established itself as the leading supplier of bespoke ship solutions to the naval and specialist ship sectors.

The company has now standardised its state-of-the-art technology to provide a cost-effective, commercial-off-the-shelf solution for the mainstream shipping industry.

“The development means that Servowatch technology, which is the technology of choice in the high-tech, high-value naval and luxury mega-yacht markets, can now be easily applied to the industry’s workhorses – bulk carriers, tankers, containerships. We have developed the technology to provide the same functionality and flexibility as our tailor-made solutions but with a greater degree of affordability in mind,” said Wayne Ross, Chief Executive Officer, Servowatch Systems Ltd.

Stafford Williams, Servowatch Systems’ Research & Development Director, said: “We have drawn on our knowledge and expertise to develop three new AMC products – an entry level system to meet the robust demands of the commercial marine market; a bespoke solution for more advanced vessels that need greater electrical and automation integration; and a new marine security and surveillance solution.”

As with all Servowatch systems, the company’s award-winning software WINMON is at the heart of the new products.

Servowatch’s new range will be unveiled for the first time to the global shipping industry at SMM, in Hall B1/Stand 402.
