Brazilian Navy Pays Visit to South African Navy

The Brazilian Navy contingent led by Rear Admiral Renato Melo arrived on Saturday, 25 October 2014, to visit the South African Navy as the highest level representatives of the Brazilian Navy for EXERCISE IBSAMAR IV.

They were also present at the VIP Media Day held at SAS SALDANHA and departed on Monday, 03 November 2014.

The contingent from the Brazilian Navy commenced their tour on Monday, 27 October 2014 with a tour on board SAS ISANDLWANA. The Brazilian Navy visitors proceeded to Maritime Warfare Training Centre to view the various simulators used to train Combat officers and combat operators.

On Tuesday, 28 October 2014 the members visited IMT, the SA Naval Museum and the Joint Tactical Headquarters Western Cape at Silvermine.

On Wednesday, 29 October 2014 they visited the Maritime Reaction Squadron. They then travelled to SAS SALDANHA to join other delegates for the EXERCISE IBSAMAR IV VIP Media Day.
