HMS Severn Rests in London, UK

HMS Severn a river class patrol vessel paid a six-day visit to London this week.

HMS Severn is the second River-class built by Vosper Thornycroft at their Woolston yard and was commissioned on the 31st July 2003.

She is one of the trio of Offshore Patrol Vessels patrolling the seas around the UK almost every day of the year.

She sailed into the Thames on Wednesday November 5, passed underneath the Tower Bridge and docked alongside HMS Belfast museum ship.

HMS Severn remained at the heart of the city until today.

Primarily visiting the Capital for regional engagement duties, the vessel was not open to members of the public.

She did, however, conduct a number of pre-arranged tours whilst in the capital for Sea Cadets from local London units.
