USS Green Bay Carries Out Weapons Qualifications

US Navy’s San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD-20) recently conducted weapons qualifications.

The vessel engaged in a crew-served weapons shoot while in the Pacific Ocean, on January 13.

Green Bay is the second ship of the United States Navy to be named for the city and bay of Green Bay, Wisconsin. This ship is designed to deliver a fully equipped battalion of 800 Marines.

It is currently making preparations for forward deployment to Sasebo, Japan.
