Royal New Zealand Navy’s vessels departed Devonport Naval Base to take part in Waitangi Day celebrations at Waitangi.

The frigate HMNZS Te Kaha left the base on February 2, and will be joined at the 175th anniversary of the signing of Te Tiriti by the tanker HMNZS Endeavour, the sealift ship HMNZS Canterbury and the Inshore Patrol vessel HMNZS Rotoiti.

On returning from Waitangi, Te Kaha will sail for Australia and then Gallipoli for the 100th anniversary of the Anzac Day landings.
