An F/A-18 Super Hornet attached to the Gladiators of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106 takes off from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77).

George H.W. Bush is currently conducting training exercises in the Atlantic Ocean.

The vessel is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the US Navy. It is named for the 41st President of the United States and former Director of Central Intelligence George H. W. Bush. Bush ’​s callsign is Avenger. The vessel was built at a cost of $6.2 billion. Its home port is Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.
