USS Frank Cable Sailors Take Part in Advancement Exam

Sailors assigned to the submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) participated in the Navy-wide Petty Officer 1st Class advancement exam, March 5.

Sailors from across the fleet participate in the exam the first Thursday of every March and September in hopes of advancing to the rank of petty officer 1st class.

Frank Cable is currently moored in Sasebo, Japan, for a port visit.

Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility and is currently on a scheduled underway period.
