Sri Lanka Navy Arrests Illegal Fishermen
Sri Lanka Naval personnel attached to SLNS Buwaneka of the North Central Naval Command arrested 5 persons suspected of illegal fishing on April 29.
According to the officials, the persons were engaged in illegal activities in the seas off Thalaimannar in Mannar.
The arrested persons were handed over to Mulankavil Police for further investigations while their equipment was handed over to the Fisheries Inspector (Nachchikuda) for onward action.
