Image of the Day: US Navy Vessels Meet in Celebes Sea

While sailing in the Celebes Sea, three US Navy’s vessels met for a replenishment-at-sea on May 14.

The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), left, pulls alongside the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Tippecanoe (T-AO 199), middle, as it conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the guided-missile cruiser USS Bunker Hill (CG 52).

Carl Vinson and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 17, are deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
