ESPS Infanta Cristina Completes Op Atalanta Mission

After completing 4 months of counter piracy missions on Operation Atalanta, Spanish warship ESPS Infanta Cristina heads to her homeport of Cartagena in Spain. After completing 4 months of counter piracy missions on Operation Atalanta, Spanish warship ESPS Infanta Cristina heads to her homeport of Cartagena in Spain.

The Spanish warship was employed in a wide variety of missions during her deployment.

This included counter piracy patrols, fishing monitoring activities, protecting World Food Program (WFP), African Union Mission (AMISOM) and other vulnerable fishing through the Indian Ocean, conducting Replenishment at Sea (RAS), conducting Friendly Approaches (FA) and supporting regional countries in Local Maritime Capacity Building (LMCB) activities as part of the EU Comprehensive Approach.

She is expected to reach home on 20th July 2015.
