HMAS ANZAC Pays Visit to Cape Town, South Africa

The Royal Australian Navy frigate Ship HMAS ANZAC paid a formal visit to South Africa, Cape Town V&A Waterfront on July 6, 2015.

HMAS ANZAC conducted a port call with an objective to enhance the relationship between the Australian Navy and the South African Navy. The Navy also hosted a formal function for the South African Navy on-board the vessel.

On the July 7, 2015, Royal Australian Navy paid tribute to the fallen heroes during a memorial service at the South African National Defence Force Cemetery Simon’s Town. Later that day, the South African Navy hosted the same function for the RAN at Job Masego Wardroom.

The vessel concluded its visit on July 10.
