USS Dextrous CO Relieved

The commanding officer of USS Dextrous (MCM 13), Lt. Cmdr. Linda H. McCauley, was relieved by Capt. Keith A. Knutsen, Commodore, Mine Countermeasures Squadron Three (MCMRON 3), on Sept. 24, due to alleged misconduct.

The alleged misconduct led to a loss of confidence in her ability to effectively lead and carry out her assigned duties. An investigation is underway into the command climate and compliance with Navy programs.

McCauley has been temporarily re-assigned to MCMRON 5. Capt. Jeffrey R. Cronin, Deputy Commodore, MCMRON 3, will assume temporary duties as CO. Dextrous is a Mine Countermeasures Ship homeported in Bahrain.
