South Korean Navy Ships Visit the Netherlands

Two ships of the South Korean Navy, ROKS Dae Cheong and ROKS Kang Gam Chan, conducted a port visit to Rotterdam, the Netherlands on Oct 31.

The ships were open to public during the weekend and everyone could board the ships for a tour.

The 134 meter long supply ship Dae Cheong and the 150 meter destroyer Kang Gam Chan moored between 10:00 and 11:00 at the Wilhelminapier.

More than 600 crew members made ​​the long trip from South Korea. This visit is part of a tour which will mark the 70th anniversary of the independence of the Asian country and the founding of the Navy. According to the schedule, the boats departed the port of Rotterdam on Monday. The Navy ships will visit a total of over fifteen countries, from Hawaii to Egypt.

The next stop of the two ships will be United Kingdom and the Portsmouth Naval Base, Hampshire.
