The Pakistan Navy has seized 700 kilos of narcotics near the coast of Pishukan, Balochistan.
The drug interdiction is part of an intelligence-based joint operation with Anti Narcotics Force (ANF), a government agency tasked with combating the narcotics smuggling and use within Pakistan.
The drugs, valued at approximately Rs 2.2 billion (about $13.8 million), were to be smuggled to an unknown destination through the Arabian Sea, according to the navy.
The seized drugs were handed over to ANF for legal proceedings.
“The successful execution of joint anti narcotics operation demonstrates Pakistan Navy’s resolve to counter any unlawful activity along our coast and in our maritime zones,” the Pakistan Navy said.
