The last of the four offshore patrol vessels (OPV 87) , ARA Contraalmirante Cordero, which was built by French shipbuilder Naval Group for the Argentine Navy has completed sea trials.

The launching ceremony of the 87-meter long vessel took place on 21 September last year. Naval Group signed a contract with Argentina in 2019 to provide four multi-mission offshore patrol vessels.

According to the company, the four vessels were built in “record time”, in just six months. The OPV ARA Contraalmirante Cordero is scheduled for delivery this April.
