As disclosed, the MoU covers the design, development, prototyping, production, and marketing of the hybrid USVs.

Cemre Shipyard has gained international recognition, particularly in the European market, for its zero-emission and methanol-powered commercial vessels.

In June 2025, the shipyard obtained its Military Shipbuilding Certification, officially entering the defense sector. This agreement marks CEMRE’s first move into the field of unmanned military maritime platforms.

The partnership will initially focus on delivering a production-ready version of the ÇAKA hybrid unmanned surface vehicle (H-USV). The companies plan to explore different configurations and variants in subsequent phases.

“This collaboration not only reaffirms HAVELSAN’s depth of expertise in autonomous systems and unmanned naval technologies but also represents a determined step toward bringing those capabilities into operational use,” the company noted.

To remind, in April this year, Havelsan signed an agreement with the Chilean Navy to provide its ADVENT combat management system (CMS) for the modernization of two frigates. ADVENT is an integrated combat management system designed to meet modern naval warfare requirements.
