The agreement includes the delivery of the C-Flex tactical mission system, SCANTER 6002 radar, and C-Guard decoy launching system. Together, these integrated technologies are expected to enhance situational awareness, survivability, and operational effectiveness for regional naval forces.

Albwardy Damen, a UAE-based joint venture between Albwardy Investment in the UAE and Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands, will lead the construction of the vessels. Other details were not disclosed.

While Terma’s SCANTER radars are already deployed on select vessels in the region, this agreement marks the first wide-scale introduction of the company’s comprehensive naval systems portfolio to MEA.

“This contract represents a strategic milestone in expanding our full-scope naval capabilities across the MEA region,” said Per Sørensen, Senior Director of Naval Sales, Terma.

“We’re proud to support our partners with reliable, future-ready systems that help safeguard maritime security in one of the world’s most dynamic operational theaters.”

“This collaboration emphasizes our shared focus on high quality and technologically, advanced yet affordable solutions exceeding customer requirements”, said Lars Seistrup from Albwardy Damen.

“This is a unique opportunity in this region to support navies to enhance their maritime capabilities.”

To remind, Terma recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boeing aimed at exploring cooperation on maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) support for the P-8 maritime patrol aircraft in Denmark.
