The 501K engine is used across the US Navy’s surface fleet for propulsion and onboard power generation, making its maintenance important for overall fleet readiness and operational availability.

StandardAero provides maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to both military and commercial customers, including engine and airframe maintenance, component repair, and system upgrades, supported by its facilities and technical workforce.

Over the past two decades, the company has carried out more than $160 million in MRO work for the US Air Force, Navy, and Army through contracts administered by CCC.

Its work has included support for Rolls-Royce T56 Series III engines used on US Navy and Marine Corps aircraft such as the C-130, C-2, P-3, and EP-3, as well as CFM56-7B engines used on the navy’s P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

The Canadian Commercial Corporation acts as the US Department of Defense’s contracting authority for Canadian purchases exceeding $350,000, facilitating procurement between US defense agencies and Canadian companies.
