Hensoldt secures contracts for 50 coastal surveillance radars

Sensor solutions provider Hensoldt UK has secured two contracts with SRT Marine System Solutions (SRT), a UK-based civil-defence maritime surveillance systems company, to supply a total of 50 radar systems for deployment within integrated national coastal surveillance systems.

The radars will be incorporated into SRT’s wider maritime domain awareness solutions and deployed across multiple coastal regions.

All systems are scheduled for delivery throughout 2026, in line with SRT’s ongoing international program timelines.

Designed to enhance situational awareness in complex maritime environments, the radar systems will enable authorities to detect, track, and manage vessel activity with greater accuracy and reliability. This includes supporting missions such as border protection, fisheries enforcement, search and rescue operations, and the prevention of illegal activities at sea.

The contracts highlight the growing demand for integrated surveillance solutions that combine sensor technology with data analytics and command-and-control systems.

By contributing its high-performance radar technology, Hensoldt UK continues to expand its role in supporting modern coastal security infrastructures worldwide, it was concluded.
