ST Engineering Marine laid the keel of the third Al Dorra-class vessel and cut steel for the fourth and fifth vessels at its Benoi Yard in Singapore on October 20, 2026, as construction progresses on a program to deliver eight vessels to the Kuwait Naval Force.

The milestones follow the plate-cutting ceremony for the third vessel in July 2026. Under the program, three vessels are being built in Singapore by ST Engineering Marine, while five are being built in the United Arab Emirates by Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB). The program is being carried out under EDGE Group’s contract with Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense.

The vessels are based on ST Engineering’s Fearless-class design. The company is working with the Kuwait Naval Force, EDGE, ADSB, and other project partners on construction and delivery.

ST Engineering Marine said its Benoi Yard is using automated panel lines, robotic profile cutters, and micro-panel fabrication to support vessel construction.

The keel-laying ceremony for the third vessel and steel-cutting milestones for the fourth and fifth vessels represent further progress toward completing the eight-vessel program for Kuwait.
