HII to provide training solutions for US Navy

Training & Education

US defense company HII has unveiled that its Mission Technologies division is among the companies selected for a multiple-award contract to provide training products and services that will enhance the US Navy’s fleet readiness.

As informed, HII received an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract worth up to $267 million. Under this contract, the company can compete for task orders to support the Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center and other navy training commands that focus on the professional growth and readiness of enlisted personnel.

The multiple award contract will support and enhance education, training, career development, and personnel advancement for the US Navy’s force development enterprise, including curriculum development and learning management systems.

According to HII, training opportunities like these will enable sailors to meet rapidly changing mission tasks in an increasingly network-centric warfare environment.

HII recently joined hands with AI application software company C3 AI to expand digital technologies and apply artificial intelligence to accelerate shipbuilding throughput at HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding and Ingalls Shipbuilding divisions.
