Mistral Contract Proves Russian-French Unique Relations, Minister Says
As for Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the Mistral contract is a confirmation of unique interstate relationship between Russia and France.
“Mistral is a separate issue. It simply proves absolutely unique nature of our bilateral interstate relations”, said Putin at the meeting of the Russian-French Dialogue association, reports Interfax.
As was previously reported, Russian premier Vladimir Putin arrived in France to pay a 2-day working visit.
Recall that Russia and France signed the procurement contract for two Mistral class landing ships on June 17. The document was signed in St. Petersburg in the presence of Russian president Dmitry Medvedev .
