Sri Lankan Navy Apperhends Illegal Fishing Gear

Naval Personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya of the North-western Naval Command on information received recovered 03 illegal fishing nets, 16 Oxygen cylinders and an FGD used for illegal fishing on 01st March 2012 in the Uchchamuni Area.

The recovered items were handed over to the Assistant Director Fisheries (Puttlam) for legal action.
