The memoranda of understanding outline a framework for potential cooperation between Fincantieri, Brodotrogir Cruise and Iskra Shipyard in support of Fincantieri’s proposal for Croatia’s Multi Role Corvette (MRC) program. The agreements cover the possible involvement of the Croatian shipyards in the design, engineering and construction of naval vessels, subject to the outcome of the procurement process.

The proposed cooperation envisages participation by Croatian industrial partners across various stages of the project, with the aim of increasing local industrial involvement and supporting the development of domestic shipbuilding capabilities. The agreements are part of Fincantieri’s approach to establishing industrial partnerships in international markets through cooperation with local companies.

The initiative also reflects ongoing defense cooperation between Italy and Croatia and could contribute to broader industrial and technological collaboration between the two countries if the MRC program moves forward with Fincantieri’s proposal.
