Atlas Elektronik Opens Naval Support Centre in Thailand

ATLAS ELEKTRONIK, a world leading provider of naval electronic systems, has founded a Naval Support Centre (NSC) in Thailand in order to support the Royal Thai Navy.

This ATLAS NAVAL SUPPORT CENTRE is a joint venture company with strong Thai shareholding. Based on the good and trustful cooperation with Suprom Chaiyakul of Prompaiboon Associates, this joint venture gives continuity to a long-lasting success story.

Volker Paltzo, Managing Director of ATLAS ELEKLTRONIK, stated: “This Naval Support Centre will strengthen our close relationship to the Royal Thai Navy. It will make the support for the Royal Thai Navy easier to access, quicker in its reaction and significantly more cost effective.” This Support Centre will have mainly Thai service engineers as the local point of contact. These experts will provide hands-on support for all ATLAS systems operated by the Royal Thai Navy.

ATLAS will use this Naval Support Centre to further improve its service quality, namely by transferring key know-how about the support and upkeep of ATLAS’ systems into the hands of the Thai service engineers working within the NSC. The Royal Thai Navy will additionally benefit from the technical know-how and close network of experts in Bremen,” said Joerg Schweingruber, Head of ATLAS Services.
