Sri Lanka Navy Arrests Persons with Sea Cucumbers

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya of the North-western Naval Command arrested three persons with 1,049.43 kilograms of dry sea cucumbers along with 2 Fiber Glass Dinghies South-west of Arippu on 11th October 2012.

The arrest was made while they were transferring the sea cucumbers from India. The arrested persons and the items were handed over to Puttlam Assistant Fisheries Director for further legal action.
