North-western Naval Command holds a Blood Donation Campaign

In view of the 62nd Navy Day celebrations of the Sri Lanka Navy, a blood donation campaign was organized at the Naval Hospital of the North-western Naval Command under the direction of the Commander North-western naval Area, Rear Admiral PADR Perera on 29th November 2012.

Naval personnel at SLNS Barana, SLNS Vijaya, RABS HQ, SLNS Thambapanni and SLNS Therapuththa rendered assistance for the event conducted with the collaboration of the staff at the Blood Bank of the Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura. One hundred and forty (140) naval personnel and the members of the naval families in the married quarters at SLNS Barana donated blood during the campaign.
