India Issues Tender for High Speed Sea Going Vessel for Coastal Patrolling

A state government project management unit has issued international tender for procurement of High Speed Sea Going Vessel for Coastal Patrolling and Related Services.

A high speed sea going vessel for coastal patrolling & surveillance against intrusion by fishing boats in the territorial waters along the Odisha coast. The main dimensions of the vessel are 17m x 5m x 2m x 1.2m draught and approximately 35 tonnes displacement. The vessel is to be of fibre glass construction, with maximum speed of 35 knots, normal running speed of 25 knots, fitted with engines of high performance/ weight ratio, with diesel engine screw propulsion/ water jet .

The vessel should have accommodation facilities for 4 persons besides 4 crew members for 4 days voyage endurance, of which 50 hours shall be at the maximum speed. The boat shall comply with the rules of construction as applicable under DNV. The boat should be operable at sea state 4 with survival at sea state 6.
