UK: HMS Collingwood Welcomes New BWO

HMS Collingwood welcomes a new Base Warrant Officer (BWO), Warrant Officer 1 Matt Rowlinson has joined from HMS Ocean where he served for the past 2 ½ years.

A Marine Engineer by specialisation this is Matt’s first time at HMS Collingwood.

He said of his new role:

“I deem it an honour and privilege to be assuming this appointment.

“After recently completing a 2.5 year assignment to HMS Ocean, the largest Warship in the RN, the position of BWO of the largest training establishment of the RN will be a fresh challenge.

“A Marine Engineer by trade, HMS Collingwood has always been considered the arch rival, however, I aim to give my upmost to take forward the exceptional reputation this establishment has in delivering training.”

Outgoing BWO, Warrant Officer 1 Mark Hannibal MBE departs for the Waterfront Manning Office (WMO), Portsmouth.
