GDEB, US DoD Sign Contract

General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) has received a contract from the U.S. Department of Defence worth up to a USD 7.2 million.

GDEB will provide Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department tasks in support of operational submarines at Naval Submarine Support Facility and Naval Submarine base New London.

This work will be performed in New London, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 2013.

The General Dynamics Electric Boat (GDEB) is a division of General Dynamics Corporation. It has been the primary builder of submarines for the United States Navy for over 100 years.

The company’s main facilities are a shipyard in Groton, Connecticut, a hull-fabrication and outfitting facility in Quonset Point, Rhode Island and a design and engineering facility in New London, Connecticut.
