HRH The Duke of York to Open New Education, Resettlement Centre

HRH The Duke of York visits Portsmouth Naval Base on Thursday (March 21) to open a new education and resettlement centre for sailors, their families and civilians.

The Duke will unveil a plaque at the Waterfront Education and Resettlement Centre and speak to servicemen and women already benefiting from the facility.

The centre – housed in a refurbished former film library near to HMS Victory – has 26 computers for e-learning courses, free internet access, dedicated tutor rooms and offices for staff.

It replaces a smaller facility in the base which could only accommodate 15 sailors.
