CGWCEISS Marks Its 11th Anniversary

The Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics and Information System Service (CGWCEISS) celebrated its 11th Anniversary on 12 March 2013 at its Headquarters, with Philippine Coast Guard Commandant, RADM Rodolfo D Isorena PCG as the keynote speaker.

The momentous occasion was highlighted by the turn-over of the PCG Small Arms Familiarization Manual to Coast Guard Education and Training Command (CGETC). Also, deserving officers, personnel and institutions were awarded with Certificates of Recognition and Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding service to the unit.

A static display was prepared which showed the 49 M16 caliber 5.56mm rifles that were successfully repaired by WSG (Weapons System Group), 22 pieces of which were tested with satisfactory result.

Henceforth, CGWCEISS conducted pre-anniversary activities such as the bloodletting activity with Jose R Reyes Memorial Medical Center staff; annual CGWCEISS Sportsfest; and CGWCEISS Medical and Dental mission catering to the indigent families in the vicinity of Headquarters, CGWCEISS.

With the leadership of Commander, Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics and Information System Service, Capt Tranquilino G Paiton PCG (GSC) along with the junior staff officers, men and women of this unit, CGWCEISS continues to strive for excellence.
