Training & Education

USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group (JCSCSG) arrived in Singapore April 1 for a scheduled port visit.

This is the JCSCSG’s first port visit since entering the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) March 26, after five months of operating in and around the Arabian Gulf.

“This port visit to Singapore will be a welcome and wonderful experience for our hard-working Sailors,” said Rear Adm. Mike Shoemaker, commander, CSCSG. “It’s also an opportunity for us to further strengthen the long-standing and excellent relationship between our navies.”

JCSCSG, consisting of Stennis, Carrier Air Wing 9, Destroyer Squadron 21 and USS Mobile Bay (CG 53), is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet AOR conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts to support regional security and stability of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
