Sri Lanka Navy, Coast Guard Asisst in Repatriation of 5 Fishermen

Sri Lanka Navy and Coast Guard assisted in the repatriation of 5 Sri Lankan fishermen on 29th April 2013.

The fishermen with their fishing boat named “Jaya Isuru” were taken over from the Indian Coast Guard Ship “Rajshree” at the International Maritime Boundary Line off Kankasanthurai by Sri Lanka Naval Vessel Ranajaya attached to the Northern Naval Command. Sri Lanka Coast Guard Vessel CG 43 also assisted the mission.

The arrested persons along with the cannabis and the craft involved were handed over to Delft Police for further investigations.
