UK Warship Patrols Gulf Region

Against the stunning backdrop of a Middle Eastern sunset Royal Navy warship HMS Dragon glides effortlessly through the water while on her seven-month Gulf deployment.

The Type 45 destroyer is the fourth of six brand new state-of-the-art air defence warships in service and left for her maiden deployment to the Gulf in March this year.

As well as holding regional engagement visits, Dragon has been working alongside partner navies – primarily the US – and trained with four Royal Navy minehunters based permanently in the region.
