BSF Donuzlav Completes Mediterranean Sea Expedition

Russian Navy’s Black Sea Fleet (BSF) hydrographic ship Donuzlav completed its operations in the Mediterranean Sea.

The vessel’s month long oceanographic expedition included studies of selected areas of the Mediterranean Sea. The collected data will be used for proofreading nautical charts, manuals and handbooks on shipping.

Donuzlav is expected to return to Sevastopol at the end of the week, at which point the collected data will be analyzed.

The vessel, built in 1983, has a displacement of 2.5 thousand tons, length of 82.5 m, width of 13.5 meters, and can reach a speed of 16 knots.
