USS John C. Stennis Holds All-Hands Call

The commanding officer of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) addressed Sailors at an all-hands call Oct. 24.

Capt. Michael Wettlaufer spoke about the importance of training and personal accountability as the ship begins sea trials.

We need everyone out there working.

There is no time for mistakes, and if anyone has any questions, you have to ask.

He also presented Lt. Cmdr. Randy Stroman and Senior Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Marcus Johnson leadership awards from the Navy and Marine Corps Association.

Stennis is currently undergoing a docking planned incremental availability maintenance period at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.
