Russian Navy’s Warship Tests Its Weapons

Authorities

Russian Navy’s Northern Fleet warship Onega recently deployed to the White Sea to carry out artillery training.

Onega, homeported in Belomorsk navy base, conducted gun firing against sea, land and air targets.

AK-176 and AK-630 artillery crews successfully performed combat training against an imaginary enemy warship under intensive maneuvering and engaged targets from different distances.

The vessel’s crew also practiced air defence and repelling of imaginary enemy air attacks, as well as electronic countermeasures employing electronic warfare systems.
