Authorities

After conducting a three-month refit and repair period, the Russian Navy’s aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov is ready to head home to Severomorsk.

During the servicing and repair period at the 82nd Shipyard in Roslyakovo, Murmansk, the vessel’s hull was cleaned and repainted. Further work was carried out on its electro-mechanical combat section equipment and its drive components. The remaining modernization work will be completed later at the ship’s dock in Murmansk.

Admiral Kuznetsov ended its seventh long-range voyage, which lasted nearly six months, last May.
