Russian Navy Pacific Fleet Back in Vladivostok
After a month-long deployment to the south-eastern Pacific, the Russian Navy Pacific Fleet group returned to the port city of Vladivostok.
The group, consisting of the large anti-submarine vessel Admiral Vinogradov, tanker Ilim and sea tug MB-37, embarked on this mission on October 29. Launched from Primorsky, the vessels had the mission “to provide for naval presence and to show the flag in the south-eastern Pacific,” TASS quoted the navy press service Captain First Rank Roman Martov.
The vessels sailed a total of 8,000 miles, crossed the equator and held training, anti-submarine and artillery exercises.
