ANADOLU Shipyard Sparks Interest of International Defense Industry Players

ANADOLU Shipyard which is actually running for two SSM (Turkish Under-secretariat of Defense Industries) Turkish Navy projects (namely LCT and LST; Landing Craft Tank and Landing Ship Tank) is also attracting the interest of international defense industry players.

ANADOLU Shipyard has delivered the first LCT (TCG Ç-151) to Turkish Navy back in March 2012 and since that date, three more LCTs have been successfully delivered to the Turkish Navy. After the first successful delivery ANADOLU Shipyard intensified its efforts to promote its state of the art Navy vessels in international markets.

As a result of these efforts, the Managing Director of LURSSEN WERFT, Mr. Peter Kneipp has paid a visit to the Shipyard. Mr. Kneipp, who has worked for MTU for more than 20 years, has been appointed as the Managing Director of LURSSEN WERFT two months ago.

During the visit a frank and open conversation has taken place amid which Mr. Kneipp was informed about ANADOLU Shipyard Navy shipbuilding activities. In addition, the two sides exchanged their views on possible ways of cooperation in national and international projects.
