US Navy Reschedules FY14 Reserve CPO Selection Board

The Navy has rescheduled the Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) Reserve and Full Time Support Chief Petty Officer (CPO) Selection Board, according to a Navy message released Jan. 16.

The board, originally scheduled to convene here in May, has been rescheduled to convene here July 22, according to NAVADMIN 006/13.

Eligibility requirements and the timeline of events initially announced in NAVADMINs 294/12 and 308/12, still apply with the following updates:

– All Reserve candidates changing ratings must be in their new rating by June 22 to be considered for selection to CPO in their new rating.
– Individual correspondence for Reserve CPO selection-board-eligible candidates must be received at Navy Personnel Command Customer Service Center July 1.
– Reserve CPO selection board convenes July 22.

There are approximately 109,000 Sailors serving in the Reserves as Selected Reserves, Full Time Support, or Individual Ready Reserves.
